Ugly purple jeans.
 

So I sometimes buy stuff that's real cheap because it makes me laugh. I shop at Ross a lot and I found these hideous purple jeans and I bought them 'cause they were like five bucks. Anyway I wore them once as a joke and I had people saying they liked them-which I'm finding is quite weird. The plan was to dye over them with black but I'm not sure how that would turn out or if it would make the pants look like shit. It's odd to me that I'd get compliments on things so ugly in nature, but maybe I just have bad taste and they're actually cute?

Maybe its just my screen but i think those jeans are blue.

Yeah they look blue to me too but it could just be the photo. I'm not really one who should talk about what is and isn't tacky or cute (my favorite pants are bright blue leopard print, they get mixed reactions) but they seem fine to me, on the other hand I don't think dyeing them black would make them look bad so if you want black jeans then go for it.

I seriously doubt you need to worry about your thighs they, honest to god are about the same size as my calves.Not kidding.

They do look blue to me but it may be the flash. I'd slash/distress a few rips in them, maybe fabric paint some sort of pattern on one leg in black, and add few small patches ( doesn't have to be bands) on the side of the thigh of the other leg....

They can't be as bad as you think if people are complimenting you on them.

Make beetlejuice pants, black stripes on them, then get a stanley knife and cut holes in them. Or, do the Malice method and BLEACHBLEACHBLEACHBLEACHBLEACH

Why are you so defensive about your thighs? I mean, I suppose some people would make fun of someone else for having thin thighs, but that's not exactly commonplace in my experience.

When I read this, I pictured a guy pointing mockingly and screaming "You have shapely thighs! Haha!", in my head.

Also, the pants are blue.

First, distress the everloving hell out of them.

Then, bleach them. Like, splotchy bleach.

What pisses me off is people buy pre-torn and pre-bleached jeans in stores for a third of the average twentysomething's weekly pay check.

I guess they do look blue in this picture, but the color down by the ankles is more what it looks like. It used to be way more purple but washing got rid of some of it.

PS, I hate when people buy 200 dollar jeans that already looked ripped to shit. It's horribly annoying.

Those don't look bad. I think they would be cool dyed black. Maybe some of the blue/purple would show on the inside.

They seem fine (as do your thighs :-) ) personally I would be more tempted to slash them.

If you think those jeans are bad, I'm surprised to see what you think is good.

They don't look very purple though . .. but that's a good thing, because, actual bright purple jeans are generally very Scene, and I would have to shoot you for that. Coloured skinnies are generally truly vomitworthy.

I love how you capitalize the "S" in scene like it's a grand title of a book or some such. I refuse to acknowledge such a trend that continues to grow popularity with girls and boys whom have yet to hit puberty.

And the disturbing thing about it here in Perth is that it's generally either pre-pubescent fools or complete idiots who have finished school and hang about the city stealing things and dealing. They're repulsive indeed.

I like colorful jeans if worn right. Worn with complimentary colorful tops, torn up and patched up and studded and all that fun stuff, colorful pants can look great.

I want a pair of zebra skinny jeans, and purple could be rad as suggested above by Joker.
