It would seem as though one of the primary differences between some bank tellers and Wal-Mart employees is the lack of a blue smock.

I'm shocked a thumb print would be required to cash a check.....
What ever happend to like a signature and two forms of ID?

Not really, it's a simple policy oversight, when they were making the policy they werent thinking about people without arms. Tell me when was the last time you though about finger printing and wondered "well what will the people without arms do?". They would be assholes if they didn't try and fix the problem like they are doing now.

Lord Soth 09-08-2009 02:01 AM

Valid point but even after the guy said he had no arms they still wouldn't cash the check? I'd be pissed

Douchy. I can smell the vinegar from here.

I've been told you can't cash a check if you didn't have an account with the bank. Even though his wife had an account, i don't think he'd be able to cash it unless HIS name was on the account also.
But a thumbprint? That's odd even for people with arms.

Then again from the banks perspective, it is required by all banks in America for you to put your fingerprint on a check you cash if you do not have an account. If they let a man with no arms break the rule, then people could hire armless men to pass off bad checks at banks for cash all day.

Who in America doesn't have a bank account and/or some form of ID?

Sounds pretty dodgy to me, an armless man who can't give a fingerprint with no ID and no bank account. How the hell did he get to the bank?

In the video it showed him using special prosthetic arms to drive, though I doubt they'll make one soo special it has a fingerprint.
