Paranormal Activity

http://www.signonsandiego.com/entert...l-activity.jpg

Scared the living shit out of me....and I am now officially traumatized.

carakitty 10-20-2009 09:46 PM

what?
where?

vindicatedxjin 10-20-2009 09:57 PM

It should be playing everywhere now.

carakitty 10-20-2009 10:22 PM

Oh.
I thought you were just posting a scary picture.
I will check the reviews and showtimes for this.

And I very well could make Firefox to block that annoying as hell new sig image of yours.

vindicatedxjin 10-21-2009 09:13 AM

So I couldn't sleep all fucking night because I kept getting paranoia...and I woke up with a random cut on my foot with dried blood...what the fuck??!???

carakitty 10-21-2009 10:29 AM

I get random cuts and bruises all the time.
I know I am a certifiable klutz though.
So don't worry about it.
Thanks for taking the awful pic down *hug*

vindicatedxjin 10-21-2009 03:45 PM

I don't like that feeling though...not knowing whats going on while you're sleeping is a scary thought!

Your welcome *hug*

It's such a dull movie.
That wasn't scary in any way.
It just blew.

vindicatedxjin 10-21-2009 07:43 PM

How was it dull???

Let's put it this way... if you're the type of person that is terrified of movies like the Texas chainsaw massacre, The grudge, or the typical slasher movies out there...then paranormal activity probably won't scare you. If you like movies like the shining or blair witch...then it will scare you shitless. I'm the kind of person that is terrified by the thought that there is something there that I can't see...it seriously bothers me.

I believe this will be true next week according to what I read in the current issue of Entertainment Weekly but then again, maybe that was last week's issue so I don't know for sure. I say this because my friend's stepsister saw it & apparently she doesn't get scared w/movies at all & it scared her pretty bad so now my friend wants to see it (I had never heard of it until she brought it up) and the only place it's playing locally is Krikorian. It sounds cool though...

Ack! I can't watch movies that involve ghosts, spirits, or anything devil related.

I used to get haunted by spirits when I was younger and have always been tramatized by them.

If I watch movies like that, I get all paranoid again and have a hard time being home alone and falling asleep. I haven't had any experiences in years and I would very much like to keep it like that hehe.

So yea, I'm a big chicken and won't allow myself to watch movies like that. Anything that is creepy, that can actually happen, I chose not to watch lol.

I remember when I watched Saw, the first one... It freaked me out for about three months!! I used to have to leave my house at like 5:30am to go to work. There used to be bushes across the street, in front of my car. When I would walk to my car in the morning, I would see the bushes moving and hear rattling. I was so scared that a phyco would come running out and abduct me lol. I would run into my car, lock the doors, and check the backseat every morning haha! I know, I'm a dork. -.-

vindicatedxjin 10-22-2009 07:57 AM

Yah if you've experienced things of that nature then you absolutely shouldn't watch this movie...I've only experienced minor things yet got shook up over it. The saw movies bothered me, I find myself trying to never complain about anything out loud just in case someone out there considers me to be ungrateful!!!! lol.... anywhoo paranormal activity scared me worse than saw.

Oh and Raptor...that was awesome!!! I want an invisible cloak!

Not really, I'm not scared by movies period.
It was just a movie, how on earth could it really be that scary?

DorianGray 10-22-2009 11:02 PM

I was a wee bit dissapointed by the movie, and didn't really like it that much. I respect it from a filmmaking point of view; I think it is really refreshing that it relied on atmosphere instead of gore, and that it had a less is more sort of philosophy to it. There were some very inventive moments and it built tension well, but not much else. It was eery and tense, but not at all scary.

Those are all things though i can look over; what ruined the movie for me was the ending. it was cheesy, kinda forced, and a bit of a cop out. It did not fit the rest of the movie. No surprise, the ending shown in theatres was made FOR Hollywood and was not shown in the original.

I actually watched the original ending last night...thinking that it might have been better.........but it was actually not as shocking as the new one that Stephen Spielburg helped with. It was still disturbing though. I think it all depends on preference I could send you a link with it if you want so you could decide for yourself.

If you have that that would be awesome :)

I just felt it was way too abrupt for the rest of the movie, if it had been in anything else, it could have worked. But maybe that is just me!

the-nihilist 10-23-2009 07:08 PM

Meh, it's all just smoke and mirrors.

You'd better beware of that guy in the semi-transparent jacket when you're standing in front of that projector!

Raptor 10-24-2009 04:17 AM

I just looked up that song and yeah it sounds like it, haha.

Hey, it's not just the guy in the jacket to beware of, there could be hidden blocks in there too. Blocks!

I think the revised ending is a lot better than the original one. Overall, though, I thought this movie was crap. It dragged on and on, and the acting wasn't all that great either. The comparisons to Blair Witch were unfounded too.

Comparisons like it was made on a handy cam or it sucked so bad I wanted to beat the producers with a bat?

I hated blair witch with a passion. I really hope this is not another worthless waste of time.

From the adverts it look like a movie has been made out of one of those stupid feckin 'ghost hunters' tv shows...
