World of Sins - Songtext
 

This was intended to be a songtext. I am not sure if it will actually function as such, but I would like to get some input on it:


World of Sins

Intro:

This world is torn apart, the shattered mirrors are reflections of the road which we follow.
Phantoms haunt me, ghosts of the past. Shattered and broken.
I’m walking, wandering, prowling in the night of a world of darkness.
Hunting, stalking, saying my silent prayers.
Praying, sighing, screaming.

Great conflicts are everywhere, war, hunger and despair.
Where are the Good Samaritans now, where have they gone?

I'mma go ahead and say that I am only a little ashamed to admit that I had an Evanescence CD once and that I loved it. I don't remember what it was called-the real popular one...
Anyways I read the first paragraph and the name Tourniquet pops up in my head all quick-like and then I realized that it was a song and I-
alright, fuck this. First paragraph reminds me of Evanescence.

This is very different from Tourniquet though. Tourniquet is about her suicidal attempt, and I tried to write this about the injustice of the world. But yes you are right, looking back on this, I see that it may be similar to the mood in Evanescense's music.
