What are you eating?

Toasted Sandwich with, peanut butter, cinnamon, sugar and banana.

carakitty 11-22-2009 09:30 PM

Yum.
Which means a lot coming from me right now because food is totally uninspiring to me at the time.
we had Bertolli Sausage + Pasta from a bag tonight. Going to the store tomorrow and hoping for some flash of genius to hit.

Lady_Alyce 11-22-2009 09:57 PM

I love Bertolli.
Nibbling on Sunchips Harvest Cheddar, and Laughing Cow french onion cheese. I just finnished a beef kosher hot dog.

Saya 11-22-2009 10:23 PM

I just had two lentil burritos. I'm loving lentils very much these days. Its like God's gift to poor people.

Cosmicgaunt 11-22-2009 10:27 PM

About to have dinner, steak, yuck.

...and yet again the parental unit won't allow me to make something instead.

(I'm pretty much a vegetarian other then the fact that I enjoy seafood.)

Saya 11-22-2009 10:35 PM

The term for that is pescetarian!

Pineapple_Juice 11-22-2009 10:37 PM

You are in no way a vegetarian. Get that shit out of your head real quick.

Edit: Saya got to it first, but he's not even a pescatarian-he's having steak!

Saya 11-22-2009 10:46 PM

I thought what he was trying to say was that his desired diet is pescetarian.

Speaking of which, Pineapple, Christmas dinner, whats something really fancy I can make?

Well I usually go traditional and just make mashed potatos, gravy, some vegetables, a salad, cranberry sauce, and then I warm tofurkey slices and cover them in gravy as well. The usual stuff.

Allow me to consult The Book:

What about chickpea cutlets, eggplant and artichoke alla Napoletana, or stewed tofu and potatos in miso gravy? Any sound appealing? I'm snagging them all from Veganomicon and Vegan with a Vengeance.
When I decide to go fancy I bake a pie....

Saya 11-22-2009 11:12 PM

hahahaha, I got the Veganomicon the other day! I haven't made anything yet though, if you have any suggestions for a hearty meal it would be great. I think the chickpea cutlets sound good though, instead of tofurky. I don't wanna spend that much on something no one is going to be brave enough to eat.

SiouxsiePernova 11-22-2009 11:25 PM

I am eating delicious chocolate finger biscuits.

Croque monsieur, fucking tasty shit.

Lord Whiskerton 11-23-2009 03:09 PM

Broccoli and string beans, I feel like I am eating nothing because of the lack of carbohydrates.

Cosmicgaunt 11-23-2009 05:05 PM

Bread roll with humus, baby tomatoes and sultanas.

Saya 11-23-2009 06:54 PM

Hummus is exactly what my everything bagel needs right now. But alas, I am a bit lazy.

the-nihilist 11-23-2009 07:10 PM

Chicken flesh.

Ohh, I didn't know you were cooking for several people. I get in the mindset of cooking for myself for stuff to bring along and set next to everyone else's food. My suggestion is go with something that has tomato sauce in it. I know it sounds weird but it's always warm and soothing and it can disguise stuff people would be afraid to eat. I suggest that Mac and Cheese thing they have in there in the TV dinner menu. it'd be a good side at least.

the-nihilist 11-23-2009 09:26 PM

Yeah right, do you expect anyone to believe that?

I would eat Tofurkey 3 times a day if I could get away with it.

Corpsey 11-24-2009 03:17 AM

What on earth is Tofurky? Google better have some prompt results...

I shall be eating Fish flavoured Tofu & Samosas on brown rice.

carakitty 11-24-2009 11:11 AM

Lunch was really good today!
Waldorf Chicken salad and butternut squash raviolis with butter, Parmesan, and sage.
Black currant tea to drink.

Any luck with the Google Corpsey? =)

the-nihilist 11-24-2009 11:41 AM

Nothing, I'm hungry.

emogamer 11-24-2009 11:59 AM

uggh...I'm not eating anything at the moment, but I'm trying to be vegan and I bet it's going to be meat for dinner... :(

Anarasha 11-24-2009 12:00 PM
