20 years OLD
 

Well it's that time of the year again, my birthday. and now that I'm no longer a teenager I feel sort of old, even though I hopefully have many years ahead of me. Did anyone else start to feel old at age 20?

Happy Birthday! I can't really say I know how you feel, since I haven't reached the age of 20 yet, actually I'm far from it.

I'm more than double your age and I'm still a hip dude.

That's just because you're the quintessence of kickassness.

Shit, I still feel like a kid most days. Every time some little bit calls me "that man" to their mom I reflexively look over my shoulder.

What the fuck situations do you get into where a little kid has to accusingly single you out from a crowd to an authority figure?

Honestly, nothing as bad as what you're probably imagining. "Mommy, why is that man's bottle silver?" "Mommy, why is that man singing?" "Mommy, that man's got his hand down that lady's jeans." (I had my hand in Karin's waistband and no lower, before you pipe up about that one.)

Kids are fucking tattle-tales.

I felt old when I paid my car off and bought a house. Age had little to do with it. I think that feeling old varied directly with the amount of mail you get addressed specifically to you.

Now I feel creakingly ancient.

I feel old compared to some of my friends who are a few years younger than me at 22 ect. But in general I don't really FEEL old. I don't wake up and groan "oh gods I'm 27 my life is over" . I've had a lot of people guess my age to be around 20-22 or so *applies more Jojoba oil* ^___^

I am starting to feel old too I am going to be 20 on the 17th

I didn't start to feel old until I hit 25. Though I seem to have got over that now.

Time is just now catching up with me in my 30's. WTF are you all bitching so soon for?!

And yes, kids are HUGE tattle tales. But I still love my baby bat.

I didn't think I was old until I reached 50, back when I first joined Gnet.

But in answer to the question, I've always got aches and whatnot from my job and I think I will never get rid of them, still they're not that bad to me.

Sometimes when I'm home on a Saturday night wrapped in a blanket, knitting and watching a movie by myself and thinking what a wonderful evening it is, I feel old.

But then I look at friends who are married or have babies, or have houses or other responsibilities, and I feel pretty young.
