Used to like GG a lot, a friend got me into him, have a few albums, but that's about it.

I havent really listened to him much, I think he is a joke though personally. Obviously this guy is a great actor, that is just my view. I mean he would not have had a job if it werent for guys like Iggy Pop and Alice Cooper so I mean, those guys are the true shockers, the originals. Music is deeply subjective as far as tastes go.
There's plenty of music I love that others hate, and I can't explain why I like it other than that it evokes a certain emotion when I listen to it.
