How do I...

Hey how do I say trick or treat in pantomime, just to let you know I am going to be a mime for Halloween and stand in a corner of a street and perform. So instead of money I'll get candy and no I don’t want to go door to door asking for candy.

ape descendant 09-22-2010 02:27 PM

Pretend like you're holding out a bag?

Miming though? What are you THINKING?!?!

OnyxBat 09-22-2010 02:33 PM

but were will the candy fall in?
MIMES ARE COOL! and I am out of ideas for a costusme :(

Solumina 09-22-2010 05:46 PM

Mimes are about as cool as bow ties

OnyxBat 09-23-2010 02:48 PM

Ditto :) and bow ties are as cool as cookies YUM!

Fruitbat 09-24-2010 07:00 AM

no ideas here but good luck with the mime.

PortraitOfSanity 09-24-2010 11:36 AM

When they open the door, cock back your arm with a wad of feces in your hand as if you're going to throw it. They'll give you all the fucking candy they got.

I just found my cameo bowtie!

LaBelleDameSansMerci 10-05-2010 08:13 PM

Bowties are friggin awesome. I want one of the slightly floppy Victorian ones.

Not sure about the trick, but for treats you could try miming unwrapping a candy bar of one of those twist wrapper candies and eating it, then pretending to hold out a bag.

I still remember that Best Buy commercial with the mime. "It's speakers, man!"

OOOOO that sounds very tempting. *walks off with an evil giggle*

I'm sorry, OnyxBat, but mimes are the "lowest of lows" on any social ladder.

OnyxBat 10-06-2010 01:42 PM

WHAT!!!!!! Mimes are the best at showing and expressing them selves, just because they do not talk does not mean they need social help!

I'd say people who trick or treat when they're old enough to party in Halloween are the lowest of the lows on any social ladder.

OnyxBat 10-06-2010 02:37 PM

Too bad I am not old enough to party.

Alan 10-06-2010 02:54 PM

Aren't you 16?

OnyxBat 10-06-2010 03:07 PM

No, I wish I was, I am actually 14.

Alan 10-06-2010 03:38 PM

Holy shit.

Solumina 10-06-2010 03:56 PM

I don't know about you but I started to party instead of trick-or-treating when I hit 12. Nothing full of drunken debauchery or anything like that but way more fun than walking around in the cold with my family.

OnyxBat 10-06-2010 04:50 PM

Well I cant say "hey party at (who's ever) house" because were I live there’s no such thing, if you get an invite that’s cool but other than that you go to street fairs or the Village parade. Then again theres the fear of having an egg thrown at you then rushed over to the hospital.

Alan 10-06-2010 04:54 PM

You can be a pioneer. It might be too late already but think of this. You get a big group of friends. Each puts about 40 bucks. You rent a house for a month (some houses even acknowledge that their use will be for a party so you just have to rent it for the weekend) and you invite every single person you know. That a lot are invested in paying for the house assures that everyone will invite like crazy.

OnyxBat 10-06-2010 05:39 PM

Good idea I just dont think a house owner is going to hand over their house to a 14 year old just to have a party. I can rent a room for a night for like $200 and then get over with it. Then again I am not a party person.

Solumina 10-06-2010 10:00 PM

See now I was thinking more like 15-20 friends watching cheesy horror movies, eating candy, playing stupid games like truth or dare and spin the bottle. In other words the kind of party that your parents would give you a ride to and/or host as you can't really drive yourself when you are 14.

Alan, that's a horrible idea to give a 14-year old...

Alan 10-07-2010 11:44 AM

Am I confusing a 14 year old with a child?
