Epic Pooh
Sounds like a meme, doesn't it?
Actually it's a pretty interesting essay on modern fantasy by Michael Moorcock. Anyway, check it out, it talks about how Lord of The Rings and Watership Down are all essentially conservative, infantilized fantasies, and how they glorify and sentimentalize the "moderate" and glorify the "petit bourgeoisie, the honest artisans and peasants, as the bulwark against Chaos" because these people are usually the last to complain about social inequality. I was expecting a poem about your morning toilet time.
I demand a poop poem. |
Haha writing a poem about taking a shit once crossed my mind...if you can make that poetic you can do ANYTHING.
But I figured you got to pick and choose what inspiration to follow, and in the end I decided it was not my cup of tea. Also: Despanan - I love the last line comparing American (robots) to the British (rabbits) Personally I'd take rabbits over robots any day! |
I dunno, Robots are infinitely cooler.
It's kind of hard to make a badassed bunny. |
I guess I gravitate towards the warmth of a living creature rather than the coldness of mechanical contraptions. Though there is no disputing the badassery of the former. A robot bunny would be pretty cool, though admittedly far from bad ass.
