This is a band from the 60's. Pretty awesome, but unfairly neglected, country rock band. Notable because 1) they're awesome, and 2) Shel Silverstein wrote some lyrics for them.

My mom also loves Dr. Hook....... I never did like them, but it's been years since I heard them last. Maybe they will have grown on me (Like America and Simon & Garfunkel did... though the former was mainly because of the Last Unicorn soundtrack).

Godammit, fine....best Dr. Hook song EVER!
