It's actually me, freakin' Draconysius. Long story short, I couldn't get into my old account, so here I am. For those of you that don't already know me (which I know is impossible considering how worthy of your worship I have always been), I live in the deep South of the United States, which actually isn't so bad: More nature, less people, less noise pollution and generally comfortable weather. I collect gothic rock; most recently I've been enjoying Pretentious, Moi? which is really well done, and I've been in a handful of goth projects over the years, so it goes without saying that I write, play guitar, sing rather poorly, blah blah blah.

My new M.O., the most recent of which that has actually stuck, is a portmanteau of Doktor Avalanche and Bauhaus. Oh yeah, and the German form of that guy from that TV show. So yeah, I'm here now. Please, keep your thanks to a minimum; I know this board was starving for my insurmountable intellect.

I guess I could do that introductory thing again.

1. What do you do? (Hobbies, job)
Well, I just entered into college - currently computer science. I thought it made perfect sense as a career, but damn. Already, I seriously don't think I want to do this. Still, can't hurt to have the knowledge and qualifications. :P
In my spare time, I collect and listen to music, write music, mod the ever-living shit out of PC games, read and write.

2. Where are you from?
Alabammer. I used to be ashamed of coming from the South, but that really doesn't mean anything. There's a lot of beautiful nature down here, and living in a small town like I do, late at night it's literally dead silent. I love that.

3. Who is your favorite author?
At the moment, probably Alan Watts. I found this philosopher-theologist quite by fate, and a lot of what he has to say is very intriguing. I'll always have a soft spot for H.P. Lovecraft and Philip K. Dick, though.

4. What are your favorite films?
Eraserhead, Jacob's Ladder and pretty much everything by Studio Ghibli, and yes, you can kindly go fuck yourself. I've accepted that yes, I genuinely do like the first Matrix film a lot, and I go crazy for stylish action scenes a'la Equilibrium/Ultraviolet, even though the plot side rarely holds up.

5. What music do you want played at your wedding?
The Gap Band - Humpin'
Agalloch - A Celebration of the Death of Man

6. At your funeral?
The Bee Gees - Stayin' Alive
Tom Waits - Everything Goes to Hell

7. This IS a gothic website, so... how do you want to die?
Probably just kicking back doing something I love, with my girl at my side. Cliche as hell, but y'know.

8. What kind of casket would you want?
I really don't care. I should hope that I have no vanity in death.

9. What's your FAVORITE outfit?
Ah, you know... combat boots, laced black pants, a priest-style coat, plain black shirt and sunglasses. Nothing too outlandish.

10. What's one thing you miss about being a little kid?
Not having any real expectations or worries.

11. What's your favorite band?
I can't choose just one, but I'd say The Sisters of Mercy, Massive Attack, Nine Inch Nails and Kyuss is pretty spot-on.

12. What kind of education do you have? What is/was/will be your major?
High school, currently in college for computer science. I haven't the slightest idea what I really want to do though.

13. Why did you join?
'Cause I've been here before, I'm comfortable here and I enjoy the conversation. That and I knew the community needs my superior intellect.

14. If the first 13 questions didn't give it away. What is your gender?
Penis-having.

Post tracks?

Kasdeja 09-18-2011 10:36 AM

Good to have you back, Doktor. We need some more intelligence around here.

Spooky Spencer 09-18-2011 11:55 AM

Nice to see a fellow Alabammer 'round these parts.

Kasdeja 09-18-2011 02:39 PM

Oh, Spencer... as soon as I get access to a signature, I'll give you mad props for the avatar. Dunno if you saw that in a different thread, but I obviously cannot PM as of yet.

:)

Is 'letus' like 'lotus'?

Hot damn, welcome back Drac.

Doktor Haus 09-21-2011 05:01 PM

It's good to be back. This place hasn't changed one bit. :)
Except... there's nothing going on here, ever.

Spooky Spencer 09-21-2011 08:49 PM

What mayhem and self-destructive behavior would you suggest to liven the dead up around here?
