merry meet!

i'm a 19 year old, hardware engineer from south africa. And i'm not a goth...i'm a punk...
i play bass in a crappy little band that was doomed before we played a single fucking note. Music and art are my life, everything else comes second...i collect corsets, baroque literature, comic books and records.
i'm a sucker for the green fairy and she usually gets me into alot of trouble, but that's ANOTHER story. i'm in love with edgar allan poe and tim burton. My favourite movies are vanilla sky, clockwork orange and fight club. My favourite books are Dracula and Trainspotting.
My favourite band is Machine Head...But i love Cradle of filth and slayer just as much.
i want murderdolls to be played at my wedding and i want entombed to be played at my funeral. i'm gona die at 30, drunk and trying to ride my motorbike off the roof of a building, somewhere...and where i'm going, its gonna be warm and cosy...and i can hook up with my best mate, light our smokes and our shots. and swap war stories with hitler and gene simmons.
i want to be buried in my favourite corset, with my lucky plectrum in my mouth.

i grew up listening to slayer (thanks dad). As for listening material and being punk...its a loose phrase...

I play bass too, but I can never find anyone to start a band with because A) I live in Hipsterville and B) apparently no one likes girls in bands in Hipsterville. Is it as much fun as it seems to be?

its really wicked...and only assholes would reject a chick that plays bass! so take your axe and go kick some serious ass! find a band that you know can demolish any gig you play! Do something unlike anything your town has EVER seen... :) chicks are as good as guys in bands...and it really pisses me off when jerk-off dudes think that we cant play on-par with them! i dunno, maybe its a culture thing...but where i come from, if a chick can prove herself, its all good. and some of the best underground bands here have one or two chicks in em...
so dont let em put you down! just start your own fucking band!

My favourite slayer album is "God Hates Us All"...one of my ex's gave it to me as a present...it has great sentiment...:)
My favourite Bassist (please dont laugh), is Gene Simmons and there's a local ska band called "The Rudimentals", their bassist, Erroll, is wicked!
Ladies that play bass are breaking a standard. There's no reason we shouldnt be allowed to play...i'm not sure why its different for you guys but here, as long as you have the balls to pull off a good set, you're in...and at the moment, there are a few bands begging for chicks to play for them...stand up for yourselves...just please dont be "Courtney Love Divas"...cos then i'll have to come over there and do some damage! Nothing pisses me off as much as a chick that demands equal rights as a guy and then in the same breath demands she have special privelages...sorry...i'm ranting again...

the album ROCKS THE SHIT! and i saw them live once, when i was in the UK...but i was like 15...and hadnt fully learned to appreciate all that is slayer....

i like warwick's line at the moment...but i play a Cort (she's old and faithful). There's a warwick Vampyr four string, hanging on the wall at our local instument store...its so cute...and it's been my dream bass for like FOREVER. but my ex bought one for his new whore, to spite me. so it put me off a bit...:(

I`ve seen the Vampyr on the Warwick web site and it looks awesome, I think you should still get one, as it looks beautiful, and (looking at the specs) seems a good instrument. Have you tried it out and played in the music store yet ?.
