Favorite Monsters
 

Since Halloween is relatively close, I wanted to do a thread on favorite monsters. My favorites in chronological order are the Count from Sesame Street, Jack Skellington, Dracula, and Frankenstein. What are yours?

Actually, Frankenstein was the name of the doctor who created the monster, not the monster itself.

If zombies count as an individual monster then I like them best. My favorite zombie, though, is Karen Cooper (the little girl zombie in Night of the Living Dead). Other than zombies I like the Creature from the Black Lagoon, the Tall Man from the movie 'Phantasm', and... Nik Fiend.

Ummmm I like Count Dracula, that ugly clown from Saw, and that girl who masturbated with a cross (the excorsit) haha

Lestat from Queen of the Damned... Lestat happens to be a nickname of mine that my best friend has given me... but I just call her Akasha back. :D

Jack Skellington is my all time Favorite.

I hope "The Nightmare Before Christmas 3-D" comes to a theatre in Raleigh

Actually...all of the Nightbreed monsters,
The pale man from Pans labyrinth, his eye's are in his hands!!!! :D ( can't wait to see that when it comes out)
Giger's Alien,
Dracula,
Jack skelligton ( hugs Jack cushion!!!)
The really ancient old elder skeleton in Corpse bride, I just find him so endearing!!

The big male dragon in Reign of fire
Pinhead
All of the vampire Lost boys ( yum yum)
The big Iron man in Jason and the argonaughts

Dracula, the Invisible Man, zombies in general (though they scare the $hit outta me), the Headless Horseman, Egore, Chucky (scares the crap outta me), Michael Myers, Beetlejuice... more I can't think of.

ZOMBIES!

Nosferatu is a close second. Has anyone ever seen the original from the 20's? It's really frightening.

This is really very difficult. I would have to say my favorite is The Phantom in Phantom of the Opera.

I've seen bits and pieces of it. I remember seeing it in an episode of Are You Afraid of the Dark when I was a kid LOL. I loved that show - even started my own "Midnight Society" with a friend of mine.

Ha. I loved that show. =] Too bad it dosen't air anymore. =[

And I would like to include my rabbit Titus, he's an evil little scrote who bit me yesterday >(

Yeah no kidding. They should have a remake too, although I doubt it would be as good.

Also, self-aggrandizement and apathy.
Not to mention reaction formation, displacement, suppression, projection, intellectualisation, rationalisation, compensation, sublimation and regressive emotionality.
They're all pretty frightening, aren't they, kids?

Indeed, the human nature is probably the feakiest monster but I like monsters that symbolise the darker sides of the human psyche more than the actual titles of these tedencies. (sublimation, though, as far as I know is a nice little phenomenon).

and I just probably said something absolutely off subject...oh well.
