Quake, quake, quake. QUAKE! QUAKE IS TEH SEXES! I am addicted to it. Just. Running around. And BFGs. OH MY FUCKING GOD! WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!! I LOVE QUAKE! And those other damn FPS. Like Unreal Tournament. Just crank up the speed. Put some good metal, or dance, or whatever the hell they call that one type of techno. The pile out Mountain Dew cans.. Your bloods pumping, your pupil's dialated from caffeine, that little fucker is sitting, waiting to camp you with his rail gun, and you blow his fucking head off with a BFG! OMFGTEHN00BZORS!LOL11111111 WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE! I like quake. How about you? |
Yeah quake is great good old blasting multiplayer fun :D
Quake is fun. I have 2 and 4 for my XBOX 360 (2 came with 4 on a bonus disc. ), and 1 on the PC, though the soundtrack doesn't play for 1. :(
Too bad that 4 on xbox 360 is meant to have bugs from a bad attempt of transfering it to xbox 360 from pc.I love 4 multiplayer =D
I didn't see any bugs. Then again, I only played through once, and I haven't done multiplayer since I don't have the money to waste for XBOX Live. I also saw a review that complained about slow frame-rates in some areas with lots of enemies, but I didn't see any of that, either.
Well i just "read" it so its probaley only noticed by the very picky.
Maybe it also has to do with the type of XBOX 360? There's the regular one and the premium one. I don't know if the regular one has a weaker processor than the premium, but if it does, that may be the cause.
I think that the review would have been done on the expensive ones. (it was a gamespot review and i know they choose the best pcs for the job)
Really? That's where I got my review from, and I only remember them talking about slow frame-rates (as far as game-play goes). Unless that's the bug you were talking about.
Yeah as in bug i meant a bit twitchy ...it also said the graphics dont look so good in certain areas.
I've played Quake 4 on meh new PC, played the original quake a few years ago on my ancient laptop but never went online with it. I like Unreal Tournament 2004 best, though all sci-fi FPS's have a place in my heart. :3

If you haven't tried Prey yet, you can download the demo here...
Click me! (I don't know if the PC demo is different from the XBOX 360 demo.) |
Is that anything like the teleporters from UT2004? Where you shoot the little gun and a disk flies out, and you can either teleport to wherever the disk lands, or look out the disk like it's a camera? Only, with that you can't shoot anything while you're looking through it, so you can't headshot yourself. :p
*downloads Prey demo* thanks :D |
I haven't played UT2004. Honestly, I don't even know what that is.
But the Prey teleporters look like boxes with an open end. I walk into the open end and exit through the other side. It's instantaneous. And you can look through. So if there's a "box" in front of you, and the exit "box" is off to the side, but facing you, you'l be looking at yourself. Oh, and no problem. If you have a half-way decent PC, it'll handle the game. Though it's quite advanced. The game uses the Doom 3 engine. (same engine used for Quake 4.) |
You don't know what UT2004 is?
omg. Time to educate you! http://www.unrealtournament.com Try the demo of it. You can play online with a few of my friends from another forum if you get it running tonight, to see what it's like. |
Ah.
UT2004. Beautiful graphics, awesome vehicles, <3 love. Now if only Activision would stop being a cunt, and give me my CD-Key back... |
