I checked out your web zine and I was impressed. I ganked a couple of your articles to post up in my LJ!! (Credited, of course.)

Thanks for taking a look! Sorry it's taken so long to get back to the thread again. A new issue will be coming out March 1st. We've gone to bi-monthly, but this should mean better quality and overall, more articles per issue. : ) We will also be at Comic-Con International this year.

How could I not post here? You're the guys that gave publication possible for me ;)

All of my banner advertising right now is managed either through google or adbrite. If you click through the "advertise on this site" link any either major banner you will see the pricing. I don't set the prices and I honestly think it's pretty cheap right now. : ) If this doesn't help, e-mail me at chris@angst-zine.com and I'll talk to you more about it off the list.

edit: Yep, just checked and the prices through adbrite are pretty low. It would be something like $3 for a month. I really don't make money from running the site right now.

Goth Forever Gaaw, thanks Vako, I really tried on that piece there. Hopefully Chris (Gothic Angst editor) will consider putting some of the other stuff I sent him. Goth Forever.

Does this mag actually proofread submissions?

We state on our submissions page that we do not, IN ANY WAY, edit the submissions that are made. If a piece needs proofing then it must be done before it is submitted. Reason being is that we don't have a dedicated editor. Much of the work that is put into the site is done by me, personally. This means that there is a lot of time spent all over the place and I do not run this as a profession. I still encourage anyone that has a problem with this to step forward and edit. Nobody has taken up the challenge, so we maintain the policy of zero editing.

Hey all,

The new issue of the zine is up and there are a couple more pieces from your board-mates up. We have a wonderful girl Recca checking over submissions now so the proof quality should definitely go up. Along side the literary submissions, there are interviews with VNV Nation, Voltaire, Desert Sin, Rebecca Hohm of Goth Help Us International as well as much more. Come check it out!
