I used to like some of those bands... when I was in 8th grade. Makes sense, I suppose, though it is depressing. Placebo is good, though.

I'll accept you because you're still relatively young, so I won't flame you. Just refrain from l33t speak (like "lol" and "u" and "jk") and I'll teach you some good bands.;)

Getting drunk is basically pointless, and the current drug culture (to which you would belong by default) is plain stupid.
In junior high terms, it's much more "hardcore" to be straightedge (no drinking, not smoking, no getting high, no fucking)

You're right it is pretty stupid, (stupid peer pressure) but what else is there to do.... I just do it because this one girl I like gets high like all the time.

Hun, if you get high, that's fine. I smoke every once in a while. I don't list it in my "hobbies", though. I don't brag about it. If you do it once in a while, fine. But it's not fucking "cool".

As far as the "peer pressure" thing goes, you're changing your mind so quickly it makes me think that we're just a new set of peers that are pressuring you. Think for yourself, k?

I can see peer pressure there, but you can't allow a crush to make you succumb into a vice.

You could just settle with the haha's I love. Anyway, on to bands, I'll get you into mine by introducing you to The Cure to know some light "gothic" music, Specimen for some batcave, The Cruxshadows for darkwave, and Android Lust in case you prefer industrial. I think you can see which genre you prefer with those ones as a prologue. You'll see much more bands in the Music section of course.
EDIT: Some might suggest other better industrial bands, I'm not a big fan of that genre.
