I was looking around for gothic type dresses and came along to ones and I thought some of you might be interested in them -even though its a fad in japan and it kind of has a demeaning name... but, nevertheless, some of them are really cute.

Lo.lita is a valid age range.

Yeah, I don't think it's demeaning at all, especially since they're trying to look young and cute; no one is forcing it on them.

That's true, but sometimes I think some young girls a dressing too "old" for their age. ...You know with the creepy pervs around and all, but that's just me.

Kinda funny...precisely what I dress like, just with a more mature and punk/glamour spin off.
Personally, the word "lo.li.ta" seems to work, because thats what we girls are aiming for, especially in that attire.

It's wrong for a 20 year old to make love to a 12 year old, but how about a 20 year old making love to a 18 year old who just happens to love the whole lo.li.ta. look? Problem solved much?

It's cool, I'm generally a failure at acronyms in general so I was quite pleased with myself at being able to identify that one.

REally?! It's great. Well, I like it. It's this thing in Japan where the girls dress to be like Victorian children or dolls.

Actually, if you were referring to EGL, that's actually not the Japanese goth culture. Goth culture as it is "defined" in the rest of the world has nothing to do with EGL. EGL listens to visual kei music, and not gothic rock.

I know just what you mean Arashi. I would like nothing more than to have a gorgeous Moi-même-Moitié dress, if only they weren't so hard to come by!

Gothic ****** is a great style, but too often it is cheapened by the chain store we all know too well.

I ment I think japanese people are one of the hottest people on earth, but I do like the ****** dresses aswell.

I cringe whenever I see one of those. Usually they just put on an unattractive corset/tank top and a mini skirt with cheap lace all over it and call it EGL.

FGL is a great term, except I might be tempted to say "Fugly Gothic L-lita" instead!

I heard that! I cannot stand it when girls go around cheapening the look. Admittedly- I'm a major snob and elitist when it comes to EGL/EGA.
