Mind giving me a recommendation?
 

So I am ready to read a new novel, and I don't know which one. You guys have such great taste in literature, I figured it wouldn't hurt to ask for your opinions =] I am really into novels that aren't 'traditionally' written [ie: written in poem, diary form, first person narrative (not that it isn't traditional, but I prefer it over 3rd person anyday)] It would be lovely if it included some horror ...I'm in the mood for horror x]
Anyway, if you have any nice recommendations for me it will be greatly appreciated.

"The Color Purple" by Alice Walker. Not scary in a macabre sense, more in a "people really do this"??? way...

BUT- for an entertaining reading experience, pick up Mark Z. Danielewski's "House of Leaves" and Poe's CD "haunted" (they are brother and sister and the works were made in conjunction with each other), grab some wine and lose a weekend. His second (?) book (do you count the Whalestoe Letters?), "Only Revolutions" is also oddly fashioned- font, color, upside down and sideways craziness abounds.
