Obviously More Experienced: The Reintroduction of Aaroneet
Seeing as how I advanced so quickly, postwise, I think it would be wise to reintroduce myself...
1. What do you do? (Hobbies, job) I am currently a student pursuing a career as a poet/college professor, but over the course of the summer, I will be working as a camp counselor for eight and nine year old girls. 2. Where are you from? The turgid hellhole that is Flushing, New York. 3. Who is your favorite author? Hmm...Dustoevsky still tops the list, along with Nietzsche (even though I have yet to read THUS SPAKE ZARATHUSTRA), Dickens, Lord Byron, from the little I've read...I think I'll go "out-of-the-box" for the next two: Ayn Rand and Toni Morrison. Just because SONG OF SOLOMON is so wonderfully perverse. 4. What are your favorite films? Still probably EDWARD SCISSORHANDS. I wish I saw ED WOOD...Movies I have seen: NETWORK. Haunting in every way... 5. What music do you want played at your wedding? Originally, I probably would have wanted "I Want You Now" by Depeche Mode. But now I might just go for irony. The first song would still be "I Want You Now"; the second would be "Always" by Gravity Kills. 6. At your funeral? Still "Tomorrow, Wendy" by Concrete Blonde. 7. This IS a gothic website, so... how do you want to die? As of now, probably a lonely, heartbroken soul, cliche as it sounds... 8. What kind of casket would you want? Any casket with a black but rich, wooden finish with leather inside that would eternally keep my body in comfort. Might as well make your final home pleasant, right? 9. What's your FAVORITE outfit? I just bought a black, sleeveless, dress-like top along with black dress pants. Black lipstick, black eyeliner, and my heel-boots. Don't forget the best accessory: my music :). 10. What's one thing you miss about being a little kid? Definitely the innocence. 11. What's your favorite band? This is an unfair question because there are just so many...Still love Depeche Mode; Bauhaus has grown on me...I'm just getting into Wall of Voodoo, KFMDM, and The Last Dance. 12. What kind of education do you have? What is/was/will be your major? English or American History, that is, Vietnam War-era America... 13. Why did you join? Very simply put, to find a long-lost part of myself that has been beckoning to me since the day I was born. Many have said this before, and I will carry on the tradition; Goth has been a "saving grace" for me, and it is a calling. I want to find fellowship here, because I can't seem to find it where I live. 14. If the first 13 questions didn't give it away, what is your gender? Female. |
Welcome again
our dear old friend who wields the pen since who knows when. And when you write whether dark or bright your words reach deep into our heart's keep. So let your words fall so they grace us all whether naked nape or darkened cape your treasured dreams our soul's escape! |
Cool welcoming! And I've been "wielding the pen" since I was ten :). The first poems sucked, but I evolved quite a bit since then...
And I've changed equally since I've first joined, I think. |
Good goth, like Welcome to the Forums, man! Good job on spelling and grammar, now we don't have to zap ya! Obviously, you've definetly impressed me over this month. Brillant writing and now you're a notable member. Thank you for the sig credit, I'll make sure to perhaps do something in return. Funny, I did something like this once I reached a thousand posts.
Goth Forever |
Many members seemed to do this...
And, as for the signature, I think another "Date Poem" is in order... That is, now that my sixteenth birthday has become this memorable :). |
Sweet Mother, I thought you were a boy!
You're female? (completely dumbstruck) I guess I just assumed from your name or some such. Wow. |
Actually, Lapin, Aaroneet is the Hebrew, female version of the name,
"Aaron". |
Oh wow. I had no idea. (Feels very foolish)
|
It's okay...I think many members thought I was male originally...
|
Welcome again, Aaroneet. I remember that joined almost the same day I did, but you have about five times the number of my posts. By the way, I like your favorite outift :p
|
I feel as if I know you already.
|
Renatus: I don't exactly know how to take that, but I still did need to make a reintroduction. Thank you, though. I hope to feel the same about you.
Biohazard: Thanks for the rewelcoming. I think I'll get along fine here...*laughs*. |
eh it was meant as a joke.
|
Oh...my bad!
|
Well...I don't like you newbie. You seem very presumptuous to me. *grins at Aaroneet*
Wow. I remember when you joined. We've corrupted you eh? Actually...you've corrupted us to. More specifically, me. I went out and bought myself a Depeche Mode CD. *admits that she has been dominated* Stay here. Don't disappear on us mmmkay? Not now that you've become such a genius child. I bet one brocade corset that you'll have more posts that Jillian in a year from today. |
ah, what the heck.. welcome again, mistress of the pen. :D
It would be neat if you one day wrote a poem about all of us Gothic.net fanati...err.. I mean, gothfriends. :) |
Quote:
A Depeche Mode CD, you say? I've won over more fans! *performs a quiet-but-triumphant "yes!" in the background*. Which one? As for your bet, it's on! |
And Methadrine, I've been working on that poem for a while...;).
|
Welcome once again. :)
|
It's a little late, but thanks for taking the time to re-welcome me, everybody. I hope this is the first of many hallmarks for me on this site, and that I will have the opportunity to welcome many others, new and returning.
