Goth Personality?
http://similarminds.com/jung.html
I'm interested to see what everyone here gets, and to see just what is the correlation between personality characteristics and gothiness, if there is one. Only drawing a vague picture here, of course. I'm an INTJ; Introverted iNtuitive Thinking Judging. (I prefer the Big 5 test, but there's more information on the Jung test) |
I'm an ENTP - "Inventor". Enthusiastic interest in everything and always sensitive to possibilities. Non-conformist and innovative. 3.2% of the total population.
So I am a goth. :P I love that I got what I already thought and/or knew about myself. I know myself very well and love me. |
I'm an ISTJ; Introverted Sensing Thinking Judging.

Apparently...
ENFP - "Journalist". Uncanny sense of the motivations of others. Life is an exciting drama. 8.1% of total population. |
my results
I am INFP. Introspective, intuitive, feeling and perceiving. In my opinion though, there is no specific "goth" personality. Gothic is made up of many different types of people. If we were all exactly the same, then that would be conformity, something we rebel against, correct?

Good point, but please go and make an introduction thread.
|
INTP - "Architect". Greatest precision in thought and language. Can readily discern contradictions and inconsistencies. The world exists primarily to be understood. 3.3% of total population.
I have to agree, that there is no one set personality for goth. How dull would that be? |

Non-conformity has nothing to do with uniqueness and everything to do with substance. |

Based on the data from your results, for example, there is a 1:12 ratio of sensing versus intuition (the S or N as the second letter in your personality types). Sensing and intuition refers to how people process data; "intuitive" people generally focus on the future and the possibilities, tend to read between the lines, and are more abstract thinkers. They are commonly inventive, imaginative, deep, and idealistic. "Sensing" people focus more on the present; they are "here and now" people who see things are they are. Sensing types are realistic and practical. There isn't much data yet, but the trend seems to be that people on Gnet think abstractly. It may also be interesting to note that about 3x as many people are Introverts than Extroverts. I'm eager to see what more data will show. |
