Tattoos and piercings...

well im 17, and i have a tattoo already. ( It is in a spot where no one can see it and its alittle bigger than a quarter and my grandmother signed papers saying that i can get it done.) I got it the summer before i turned 17 and I have my cartledge pierced three times and my lob three on one side and two on the other I also have my belly button pierced and I'm getting two more for my birthday in Dec, also I'm getting more after that.

I have some questions though..
(i do have a high tolerance for pain but i would still like to know.)

Does it really hurt to get a sleve done?
Does it hurt to get your nose pierced?
How about the acelies tendon?

kimaru 07-19-2007 11:59 AM

...All piercings hurt to some degree, but getting one on your tendon would probably hurt like hell.

Melpomene/Calypso 07-19-2007 12:00 PM

yeah now that i think about it after watching Pet Cemitary yes i think it would. what about a tattoo there?

kimaru 07-19-2007 12:07 PM

A tattoo there wouldn't be that bad, I've been told that the most painful place to get a tattoo is on the ribs.

Underwater Ophelia 07-19-2007 12:10 PM

The spine hurts like hell, too. Both of my tattoos are on my spine, and it fucking sucked getting them.

thedoll 07-19-2007 12:18 PM

My hip way painless, I felt the needle buzz but thats it.

A friend got his ankle done and said he wanted to stop half way through because of the pain, but I'm sure it just varies from person to person.

Nose piercing stings a little, but it's not bad at all compared to getting the cartilage in your ears pierced (mine hurt like a BITCH for about two weeks and I couldn't sleep on that side for three!).

Melpomene/Calypso 07-19-2007 12:50 PM

well these are the ones i want so far,

1)the same butterfly but on the other side of my hip.
2)a tribal i drew on my lower back.
3)chinese symbol for love on my wrist.
4)This picture i drew of a chinese girl with a butterfly over her head.
5) Stars on my side
6) A snake on my arm.
7)a cross one my shoulder blade.
8)a star on my acelies tendon.
9)the roseary on my ancle going down to my foot (kinda like Nicole Richy)

I know i want more than that. but im drawing a blank right now.

maggot 07-19-2007 01:03 PM

GO AWAY. WE DO NOT WANT YOU HERE.

For seriously.

psyches_reflection 07-19-2007 01:04 PM

Tattoos will hurt more on an area of the body where there is little fat or muscle, like the wrist or the spine. I have one on the outside of my thigh that barely hurt at all, due to my supersize thighs :D My hip hurt like hell however, as it was right on the bone.

A sleeve tattoo shouldn't hurt more than any other, but it will probably ache like heck having such a large area done all at once.

fyi that is how your post should have been typed (is it really that hard to spell correctly?) Oh and I don't believe you ever made an introduction so go do that right now or just go away, I'm fine with either

So you pretty much want all the tattoos that are really trendy and "hot" right now?

KontanKarite 07-19-2007 01:42 PM

No piercings for me.

I'll take ONE tattoo of an ankh superimposed over a gear.

That's about it. But I'm still playing it in my head to decide if I really really want it or not.

Depends on the sleeve. My half sleeve took 12 hours (one 4 hour session, one 5 hour session, one 3 hour session) and the inside of my arm hasn't been touched yet. I'd like to see someone sit through a whole sleeve, really I would. I'd also like to see the bill at the end, because for what I got done cost $1100. It isn't finished yet.

As for pain, it's a constant burning sensation (especially during the fill). The closer you are to bone, the more it hurts.

The final nail in the coffin was "just like Nicole Richie!" If you can say just like ::insert person's name here:: it's most likely not a good idea.

Melpomene/Calypso 07-19-2007 02:01 PM

yes i want whats cool to me.and i dont think i want a whole sleve.

goodness people make my blood preasure rise making me angry. some of you are so nice but others are like more bipolar than i am. calm down. i opened this to find out more about tattoos and piercings not to be ridiculed by people who dont even know me.

Underwater Ophelia 07-19-2007 02:04 PM

Oh, but you do.

Anyway, learn away. Ask someone a tattoo question.

Saddiction 07-19-2007 02:06 PM

Go post an introduction like everyone else!

maggot 07-19-2007 02:07 PM

Welcome to the world.

its not just like hers i dont like hers

and my question for you is (i think you were the one with the tattoos on your back) does that hurt as much as people say?

Solumina 07-19-2007 02:17 PM

go post a god damn intro, I've already told you nicely (twice). I'm one of the nice ones but if you show no respect for the rules (when you clearly should know what they are) then you can expect some nice warm flames

1 i dont know where
2 i dont know what to say
3 i dont know the rules (im new)
4 i can tell.

maggot 07-19-2007 02:23 PM

You're the stupidest person I've ever met. You have been told where. You would know what to say if you read stickies. You would know the rules if you read the stickies.

Are you twelve?

Solumina 07-19-2007 02:24 PM

At the top of most sections of this boards (including the fashion section) there is a sticky that is FOR THE NEWBIES. Go read it, please.
