Fahrenheit 451 (the band)

I don't know if many of you have heard of this band (though I think there's some ska band with the same name). They were a goth band from New Jersey in the mid 80's. Their songs have made it to a few good gothic compilations so they're not completely obscure. To me, thier instrument setup can't be beat: whiney, icy guitar, driving bass, tribal drums (using actual skin drums in the mix and for solos), and keys that are more part of the band rather than just noise makers (almost 60's sounding). Not to mention thier singer Athan Moralis has probably the smoothest voice I've ever heard. They released an EP and an album consisting of that EP, more songs, a couple covers, and music from the members later projects. You can easily find thier music via amazon.com like I did. I'm not sure about anywhere else. My favorite songs would be "Flowers Melt Away", "Zombies", and "Black Dahlia". If you see anything by them, pick it up. You won't be disapointed.

Agreed. These guys were awesome. I think one of them ended up doing A&R work for Cleopatra at one point, too.

Oh my ! Good job Haunted! I was actually thinking of starting this thread before. Excellent ^.^

They are awesome those Fahrenheit 451 musicians are. I really like the song "Strangers on a Train" and "Flowers Melt Away". Those are just a couple of the songs that are up there on my list of 'amazingness'.
