Making an introduction
 

Hi, my name is Nikki. I am new to this site, obviously, and thought I should introduce myself.

I am 26 and have been in the goth scene for almost a decade, but being from a small town in Virginia I don't have very many opportunities to meet other like minded people. I'm pretty shy, but I'm trying to grow out of that.

I love reading . I'm big into Anne Rice, Poe (I may have an obsession), Oscar Wilde, anything Greek mythology based, and I harbor an intense fascination for anything vampire based which may or may not make me lame...I guess it's all a matter of perception.

I love writing and tend to write my own short stories and poems. I also write lyrics and would love to one day move forward with that.

I'm currently learning the guitar since music is a huge passion of mine. My favorite band right now is Rasputina, but my musical tastes tend to have range between Metal, Industrial, Classical and Grunge music.


Hmmm I can't really think of anything else so feel free to ask anything you want to know.

Imagine my surprise when I was looking through threads and came across you....

Apparently both our cats are out of the proverbial bags. Though we can ignore each other online and just be in life friends if you prefer....

Some of these people have already become irl friends, it may as well work the other way too.

How did you manage to stumble across this place anyway?

I was a member back in '05 for a bit, but didnt ever get on as I was still using dial up back then and it was too irritating. So I ended up deleting my account. I decided to give it another go now that I have some free time and a faster Internet connection. Am I encroaching on your territory?

I'm actually kind of happy to see you here, it give us an additional way to stay in touch (which, as you know, I'm really bad at)
