Goths tell how they survive in a heatwave
 

It's the hottest spell of the year - but not everyone is basking in the sunshine.

For your average Goth, pale skin is a must and the summer sun that most people are soaking up with glee is nothing but a nuisance.

Sky Tyne and Wear found a shady nook in the centre of Newcastle and had a chat with the black-clad tribe to see how they keep cool in a heatwave.

We discovered that many were lurking in the shadows, socialising with friends while maintaining their closely-guarded pallor.
