Sweeney Todd

Holy Jesus. It was great.

I think it's honestly my favorite Tim Burton film.

badteccy 12-23-2007 06:10 PM

I'll probably see it, but Tim Burton movies are all the same.
I guess I'm too old for the "quirky and creepy Hot Topic preteen audience" movies.
I'm just too old for anything.

Beneath the Shadows 12-23-2007 06:12 PM

I'd like to see it sometime. But I'd rather see National Treasure, first. And I Am Legend.

badteccy 12-23-2007 07:35 PM

I wanna see Juno. I was gonna see it Friday but the theatre was closed.

Breathless Horror 12-23-2007 07:49 PM

I can't wait to see Sweeney Todd! I'm probably going on friday. Can't. Wait.

lostintranslation 12-23-2007 08:03 PM

badtecy-I want to see Juno too!! It looks great!

I thought Sweeney Todd was excellent! I want a painting of the final frame of the film! Absolutely gorgeous!

DepthsofSpace 12-23-2007 08:16 PM

I can't wait to see it, either. ^_^

It has everything I love in a film.

State ruining a man's life.

Man puts on new persona.

Comes back with blades and get's revenge (and has a great time doing it!)

ForgetThisLostLenore 12-23-2007 08:19 PM

I would love to see it, but apparently my theatre doesn't see it fit to show it here...

CountSixstring 12-23-2007 09:12 PM

Sweeney Todd was nice. A lot of familiar faces and some sweet scenes and pretty music. I recommend it.

...

Wow. I mean, I know that every mallxcore kid loves Burton these days, but the man is a magnificent artist.

I'm looking forward to seeing it.

Tim Burton's movies are never the same. They have the same ambient to it, but so were Shakespeare's plays.
If you think they're all the same, I think you might not be looking at them past the 'quirky and creepy', just like all those Hot Topic preteens that pretend to be fans of Tim Burton you mentioned.

raggedyanne 12-23-2007 11:50 PM

I agree with Jillian. Each of Tim Burton's movies are unique and brilliantly artsy. I'm looking forward to seeing Sweeney Todd!

bleedingheart344 12-24-2007 01:21 AM

I'm probably going to see this movie soon. I've heard it was a brilliant film.

Zerachiel 12-24-2007 09:16 AM

I want to see it...But I'm probably going to go see AVP:R first...

Kanedawg 12-24-2007 10:25 AM

I want to check it out for sure, even though I too am too old and stuff. Yet I'm not really.

I saw Burton's remake of Planet of the Apes coming from miles away and never endured the displeasure, but my spider sense says that this latest will be better than anything he's done in awhile.

Steppenwolf 12-24-2007 12:26 PM

*dying of mad envy* stop it , you bastards I'm living on goddamm Germany , it's SO UNFAIR :-((( ...

Luthian 12-24-2007 12:27 PM

uhg... I absolutely hated the musical. Haven't seen Tim Burton's take on it, but I can't imagine it will be much less fruity... though I tend to like his direction. I wish he'd change it up a bit, though.

Green.Lady 12-24-2007 12:28 PM

I'm still not understanding the "too old" thing. Seriously, people.

lostintranslation 12-24-2007 12:35 PM

I truly hate all musicals, and I actually enjoyed this one. The romantic side of it was fruity, and the gore was all extremely fake, but it was enjoyable.

Kanedawg 12-24-2007 12:36 PM

You are right of course, Green Lady. Which is the point I guess. If you feel that you're too old than you are but if that makes no sense to you then you're not. I can go either way in a sense, but generally just am.

Green.Lady 12-24-2007 12:56 PM

Oh. Fair enough. I'll have to ponder that one.

Crying_Crimson_Tears 12-24-2007 01:14 PM

I want to go see it with my boyfriend this week.

It looks amazing.

I love Johnny Depp and Tim Burton.

††BlackRose†† 12-24-2007 02:41 PM

I want to go see this one as well. You can never go wrong when it's Tim Burton and Johnny Depp.

Paigeybobert 12-24-2007 03:31 PM

I think it looks a bit stupid. I mean, seriously... Johnny Depp singing? What a joke!

clockworkcoffin 12-24-2007 04:59 PM

thanks to the combined suck of paramount and the local theatre chain, the film will not be playing in my city.

i'm gonna go cry now.
