confused about clothing

Well, I only very recently entered this all goth stuff and I don't know very well what to wear. I'm 15 years old female and I usually wear black skirt or pants with a black shirt. I want to buy some boots but I don't really don't know what to buy or use. Believe me, this is confusing me because althought I want clothes, I'm not able to spend a lot of money. ( I don't work )

Don't take me wrong or anything, I just would like some help picking nice clothes. Thanks in advance :)

just wear what you think looks cool, and if you've any skill with needle, thread and scissors you can buy a cheap pair of pants and make them look more interesting. please don't wear something you don't like just because you've seen other goths waer it, pick clothes you actaully like

I wasn't even thinking of doing otherwize. My major problem is that most clothes I like are extremely expensive and I have ALOT and I really mean alot of stuff I won't use anymore. And by that I mean almost all non-black non-red clothes I own. This christmas I hopefully will get some money and will buy more things. Hopefully.
I also want some more jewerly. I don't have anything besides a celtic necklace and a black ring and some things with spikes.

Yer clothing is expensive so buy cheap plain stuff and customise, or just make it from scratch. Look in charity shops, i found a gorgeus velvet skirt in one the other day for £3.50, and boots id invest in a good pair, ive personally got doctor martins-14 eyelet, they did cost £70 but they are worth it because they go with everything and last years!

Gothy clothing tends to be horribly expensive. For that reason, I tend not to buy clothes that are targetted specifically at Goths. A good place to start is at a local thrift or military surplus store-- I visited a thrift shop on Friday and bought two used military jackets for $7 each. Peeves and Nemesis are right about the customization thing-- just don't try it unless you really can sew decently.

Gothic Clothes

If you want to find good gothic looking boots look in a Second hand store. Walmart also has good deals. I found i nice pair of black boots at a thrift store and they are good quality and have lasted a long time. I have had them for about a year now and i wear them all the time. I also found a really nice black skirt there too. So if you actually look you can find some really good things. The boots cost $3.00 and the skirt was $5.00. They were almost brand new.

Although being goth is not just the way you dress/look, i would also try googling it. google.com has some pretty good sights to offer, and ebay.com has cheap stuff too. But then there are also regular department stores that are cheap, all you have to do is alter the clothes to suit you.

Buy what YOU like.

I like some of the stuff at hot topic, but sooooo many people wear the same stuff. I go for originality. Surprisingly, I find some great shoes at low prices at Newport News
like these:http://www.newport-news.com/assets/p.../2f1147a_2.jpg http://www.newport-news.com/assets/p.../2f1124a_2.jpg
But if you want to buy somthing fancy that will last you a lifetime:
John Fluvog has some great ones...I have had my angel swirls for well over 12 years and the still look and feel great. you can even buy replacement soles. They're not cheap, but you won't have to break them in cuz they're buttery soft and will last! http://www.fluevog.com/code/images/c...0389/thumb.jpg

HMMM. That wouldn't be bad manners, would it?
I'll look over there and see what's up. THANKS!

Seriously, Look at Dillards, Walmart, Sears, etc. It doesn't have to be black, just find something you find attractive. My favorite skirts *Black to boot!* are from Foley's and JCPenny. During the winter, it's alot easier to find black sweaters, long sleeve shirts, and pants, if you want them.

joyslayer 11-30-2005 07:44 PM

yeah, and also other regular stores, like carsons, or any other stores you can think of.

Hirsipuutarhuri 12-04-2005 09:39 AM

get few expensive things and some cheap things
(did anyone understand?)

then mix them like u want!
Jei ;)

Yesturday, I found this awsome looking skirt thing, it was very cool. Its had like, tears and rips in it that showed to a dark crimson mesh linging thing, I fell in love with it.
