I guarantee you, ALL of your friends come from fucked up familes too. I hate to say this because it's blantantly hypocritical but, get the fuck over it and grow up. Your no minority in this situation sweetheart.. I'll bet every last person in here has "crappy parent" stories, but we don't dwell because it should have little baring on our own individual choices. Remeber the pain and bring it with you to help you make better decisions in life, but don't whine about it like it's news to anyone... we all ready know.
