It's an interesting discussion you've brought up here Dave, perhaps we could start a thread in the general forum? As a westerner living in Asia for almost my whole life, I have quite a few things I'd like to say, but wouldn't want to hijack ViciouslyBeautiful's intro thread - unless she doesn't mind, of course.
