My hair is so thin and fine, I can't really do anything good with it. It's so thin that if it get too long (only past my shoulders), it looks really, really bad. It's too thin and stick straight to layer, and I can't do bangs because: 1) my hair is so thin that when I cut bangs they look stringy and horrible; and 2) I have a stupid cowlick that makes my bangs (the one and only time I attempted them) stick straight out in that spot. I pretty much just keep it in a a-line-ish bob that falls just to my shoulders. I really only keep it that long because if it was any shorter, I wouldn't be able to pull it up in ponytails to attach falls. Falls are the saving grace for my hair! I wear either falls or clip in streaks pretty much every day, although with the clip in streaks, I only have a few places where I can attach them because my hair is so super thin that it doesn't cover up the wig clip well. My hair is too thin to support the weight of most dread falls, especially back-combed ones. I did just make a pair of falls out of Elysee Stars, which are much lighter than backcombed dreads, that seem to be doable for me, but mostly I just stick to loose hair falls because they're so much lighter.

If anyone is interested in trying their hand at making some clip in hair falls, the link below will take you to a mini-tutorial of sorts I posted on the DIY section of Gothic Beauty on how to make clip in falls with human or synthetic hair weft.
