I believe the question is even more, "Who has the right to define what Goth is?".
And I honestly believe that not even Peter Murphy (Murphey, Murphi, whatever), or Andrew Eldritch, or Voltaire (The current dude, not the philospher), has the capability to do so. (If you want argue, "Ohmyfuckinggod, [Insert Random Name Here], like, started Goth!", realize that there is probably someone out there who could argue that he's not, or could argue that the majority overrules him, or some other lovely incident like that.)

Why? If I only feel like acting "Half-Goth", per se, what is inherently wrong with that? Also, why should I perticularily feel that your culture is not worthy of being insulted, much less when it inhibits my ability to do something I enjoy?
