What is impressive is that they could still maintain such a decent society with all the emphasis on experimentation. They are original and respectful. Usually experimentation relates to overt sexuality as seen in some countries in Europe. As an artist (semi-artist in my case) their fearless experimentation in spite of stereotypes is fascinating.
I think that maybe since Japan's art culture is not restricted by stereotypes and religious fervor as in America, experimentation is encouraged. But that is politics. Also, it'd be nice if you can post some of your art. If you will draw it, I will come and post also.
You're telling me. What is more surprising is that I found a pretty medigoth.
