I started on the series when there were just two books out (I was 10 then), and it was a reccommendation from my sister's friend's arty-farty parents (thus I was a bit sceptical about them). We bought both books and took them with us when we went camping, and I read both of them in one night because I was so sucked into the story. :3

SNAPE FTW. He has more depth than any of the other characters (it's debatable whether he's really on the dark side) and he's, like, totally goth. Plus he's the only character who doesn't irritate the shit out of me. <3

Btw to those of you who're turning your nose up at Harry Potter just because it isn't classic literature, you're being retarded. Stop pretending you're so elite.
