On my own topic, I received a (somewhat) negative but constructive comment on my writing. I've been writing poetry for six years, and this is the second. The first was from my dad. I hate how I take things personally, when they're really not personal. For me, everything is personal, and I'm wondering whether I should continue writing. Really, my mind wanders like this so much that it's rediculous, and sometimes I simply can't stop these things from getting blown out of proportion. I mean, for chrissake, I was nominated Poet of the Year by Poetry.com; of course I should keep writing. This is so ludicrous! I wish I could rationalize for the first time in my life...

I'm sorry if this sounded melodramatic....But, then again, that's why it's in the "Rant Thread".
