Heh. I remember my freshman year at that college - bemoaning the fact that there I was at a 7:2 girl/straight guy ratio and I couldn't even get a girl to glance my way.
Of course, back then there were at least parties. :P Of course, it was people like me, who crawled on his hands and knees down the hallway of [UGLY FRRESHMAN DORM REMOVED TO PROTECT THE INNOCENT] and spent the night vomiting in the shower.
