Right, but that's you. I actually think I was pretty clued-up about sex at 14 - no way I would have gone in without protection. I also think it's a sweeping generalization to base your judgment of a whole age group on memories of yourself at that age.

The odds of dying as a soldier are far higher than those of contracting a life-threatening disease, if you take the proper precautions. If you don't know what they are then yes, you are too immature, but since you start Sex Ed way before it's likely you'll be having sex I think most teens are aware of this. Plenty of people over the age of consent have unprotected sex. Poor judgment can occur at any age.

Of course having a baby is a bigger deal, but again if protection is used the risk is not related to age.

I understand the analogy, but don't think it stands up to closer analysis.

Or if you have a blog that lists your full name as well as a username, they could do it that way too. Maybe a teacher wouldn't put in that effort, but a concerned parent would, and more and more employers are doing so.
This is true, but I don't have a MySpace so I didn't think of it that way.

I don't think light flirting would bother me though, in the context of this thread. They didn't say they've actually done these things, just thought about them.
