Going to any petshop for a cat is a bad idea. A different animal shelter is a better bet. Most pet store employees know JACK SHIT about the animals they sell, and those that do know, are snobby bastards who are arseholes for the sake of it. I know from speaking to others in the US that Petsmart have a particularly bad reputation for their fish care. I know it isn't like a cat, but all the same it goes to show the level of incompetennce many chain stores hold.
