What exactly makes you think only goths are unusually empathetic? What makes you think so many goths have suffered anything?

Hey, I was bullied for nearly a decade. But so were thousands of others in the world, and millions more going through it right now. How many of them are goths I wonder? Not a vast amount I'm willing to bet.
Does this make me more empathetic than anyone else who has been bullied? NO. It doesn't .

Listening to a particular type of music that appeals to you and the way you generally are does not make you any more empathetic than the person across the road.

If you dislike it so much here then why are you still around?
