Love is a strange thing in that way.. I've been with my girlfriend for 5 years now, and I don't love her like I used to. I still love her, though... and our relationship is still going strong, it is just that it has mellowed into something that is quietly and calmly strong instead of something that is intensely and exciting. I enjoyed the intensity, but I find the calm much more stable and really appreciate the certainty that it has lent me in knowing that our relationship is something that can and will endure as it matures.
