Yes, it will. It's the same idea just a different method. It will involve more sewing when you have to stitch the individual D-ring straps in place but it will work out the same in the end. But this sounds like a labor of love and something you really want to personalize, so have at it!

I'm not too botherd about how much stitching it will be. I just hope it dont go wrong. But I guess I can just unstitch it if I dont like it.
Thanks for your help though. I'll give that ago if it gets too complicated with the D-rings.
