For the record, goth is actually derived from the Visigoths and the Ostrogoths. Most people who call themselves "goth" don't even know who the Visigoths/Ostrogoths where.

I fully understand that how I perceive it is not the case, but again, I'm an elitist when it comes to music. And again, I'm fully aware that it makes me an asshole.
