I hate emos as much as I hate Goths. As much as they're widely used today, they both seem to be absolute misnomers in the vast majority, and indicative more of a social and fashionable trend than actual interests and culture.
Also, none of those bands are punk. Most people who call themselves emo have no idea where it actually came from. Y'know, Fugazi, Rites of Spring, Drive Like Jehu, etc.
