Kontan, you seem to live in a very different place to me.
I like luxuries, therefore need a job I can rise in to pay for my luxuries. And these kind of jobs are corporate and have a relatively conservative image.
As it is, I get away with alt-ishness like wearing entirely black, having silver bat stud earrings, a silver bat necklace, and a black bag with cogs and gears on it. But the key is doing it tastefully, wearing the pinstripe jacket instead of the pinstripe halter top, that sort of thing.
