The little things and little people happen all of the time, actually. Jane Goodall, Julia Hill, Cindy Sheehan, the Sisters of Loretta Nerinx, a million and one unnamed conscientious objectors, moral purchasers, draft dodgers, boycotters, volunteers in the VA and USO, RAWA and tree-huggers--- they are all one person, began as one person and one person may not make the news, but their actions are felt and trends towwards peace and sustainability are formed.
Saying that it doesn't happen any more speaks to willful blindless and learned helplessness.
