I've been fooling around with the melody of the chorus lately. I've made one song before, music, lyrics, and all and it wasn't too tough. This one, however, is kind of special to me. It's going to take more than my limited knowledge of music to make it come to life.
I've been thinking the same thing, a deep throaty fat bass, a violin, and actually marching type drumming like the old drummer boys of armies and such.
Add a dash of jangly guitar chords here and there and I'd have it.
