First, is that I've got the possibility of working at a computer store that my dad owns. It's very likely that if I start working there next summer, I'll be the owner by the end of the next decade. Starting there next summer means I'll be the second most experienced, and it'll put me right next to the head of music in terms of value to the company. (All of our other technicians are very replaceable) Most likely, when my dad retires, I'll co-own it with the head of music (My uncle), until he retires: Leaving me with ownership of the store. So that's my "Career" option. While doing all of this, I'll earn a very nice and steady salary.
The other option is the "University" option. I've got a couple of universities that I can choose to attend after I'm done this one. However, this will make me the least experienced until our current head technician quits. It'll also mean I start at about $75,000 in the hole. The redeeming factor is that I'll start out with more certifications then any of our technicians and I'll have more jobs open in the future.
I'm have no idea what to pick.

You could always go to a community college to get an associates degree, it would only take two years if you go full time and it costs a hell of a lot less than a four year university but you will get some certifications out of it as well as giving yourself more options for your future.
