Resenting the implication that the only reason I consider DSotM the only consistently accomplished Pink Floyd album is because it's popular is not akin to displaying a lack of musical understanding. Implying that all art is equal in merit and taste is the only deciding factor, on the other hand, is the mentality that gave rise to reality TV as an alternative to reading.
