Personally I've been into fights myself but never with someone for teasing me. Normally I just got (I try not to fight anymore unless someone swings at me first, I don't like hurting people) into fights with my father (drunk/abusive) or my annoying little cousin (like my little brother). You should have tried to fend her off with words first I think, violence is something used for the very very last resort. My cousin chases me around calling me a satanic witch or grabs a fistful of my hair and pulls as hard as he can. I don't fight back unless I absolutely have to. But they shouldn't have called you a monster and beast for that, you clearly were just having a reaction to how she treated you. As long as you felt remorse and apologized for such actions I'm sure everything will be fine.
