And that is one thing that gets to me,the thought of someone just showing up for an inspection of my home and property anytime they see fit.

And the whole thing of "Government Approval" it's bad enough you have to jump through hoops for the permit,what's to say they decide that you don't have the proper forms,Maybe changing it to match, what happened with the Weed stamps in either the late 20's-early 30's time period our (U.S.) government said "Yeah sure if you have the weed just bring it on over and buy a special stamp"the problem with that was the law was set up in such a way that those who showed up with said herb to purchase the stamp were then hauled off to the slammer for having the green on their person (You had to have the weed to get the stamp,but you had to have the stamp to lawfully obtain the weed)

What's to say the same thing couldn't happen with firearms ownership in that given situation?

It's trusting the government way too much in my opinion.
