Funny thing about all the piercings I've had is that the four I had done professionally with a needle back in August are still not healed (yes, I cleaned them every day with salt water, and no, I didn't go dragging them through mud or faeces or dead animal muck. I followed the piercers aftercare instructions perfectly, actually, and live a pretty healthy lifestyle too), and the ones done with a gun back when I was about seven healed within weeks.
To further add to these rather unexpected results, a friend's self-pierced ear (using a satety pin) from about two weeks ago is now healing in perfect condition.
