What synchronicity!
The day that I took this book out of the library I found this thread!
But I wasn't regestered here than and I hadn't read any of it so... a late responce.
I'm about half way through it now, and I really like it!
I'd heard the author speak at a local writer's festival, and had wanted to read this book for a while, but didn't get around to it 'till now...
(If this has anything to do with it, the author seemed like a cool person.)
I didn't know anything about Vlad Dracula prior to reading this, but what I'm getting is that it's a very different and more historically correct depiction of him than in a lot of other things. The author really likes history and so a lot of research seems to have gone into the book.
(A minor point, but I think another thing that helps is that the author does fencing and so... perhaps more realistic fight scenes?)
I'd recomend it. For sure!
